Holiday Cooking Wrap Up

Huge, huge thanks to our awesome presenters at last night's workshop!

First, we totally stuffed ourselves on 50 million varieties of savory tarts from Emily Beebe. Seriously, there were so many, and they were so good, like this beet and goat cheese variety.  If I had to choose one though, it would be the caldo verde - a take on Portuguese kale soup - with plenty of sausage, potatoes, and kale. Monday night lamp making!

It's rainy, it's freezing, and it gets dark at 7, so there's really no reason not to come to our lamp making workshop tonight (October 4).

We've had a couple spots open up for tonight's class, so shoot us an email if you want one! You'll learn about lighting design while creating your own hanging lamp to take home at the end of the night, and it's just $25.

Read more about the workshop over here!

Things we learned this week:

We've got some new classes starting tonight and next week (lots of food, and bees too, for good measure), but in the meantime, here're some random fun things we've learned over the past couple of weeks in Knife Skills, Pseudoscience, and Astronomy.

Emily's lead a couple of one-night knife skills workshops over the past couple of weeks, and if there's one lesson to be learned about knives, it's that they should be sharp! Always! To...
