Work with us!

Update!: Hey, so we filled the spot, that's pretty awesome, right? If you haven't heard back from us yet I promise it's not because we're a terrible evil faceless corporation, it's just that we received a ton of applications and haven't had a chance to respond to all of you yet! Thanks to everyone who applied, we really appreciate it!

It's finally happened: we're hiring! We're looking for an awesome person to help out with all sorts of stuff around the Brainery. It's part-time (around 15 hours a week), and involves all kinds of things:
• Helping us reach out to potential teachers and organize more classes and events all over Brooklyn
• Hanging out during class two or three evenings every week (6-10pm), setting up and making sure nothing too crazy happens
• Running a few errands here and there
In return, yes, you'll be getting paid, but you'll also get to sit in on all the classes you want for free!
Our deal: we're just two people who thought taking classes in NYC was way too expensive. So now, a zillion years later we're hunkered down in Carroll Gardens storefront, dedicated to helping people learn bread-making, knot-tying, stargazing, kimchi-fermenting, ASL-signing, physics-experimenting, beekeeping, and pretty much anything else that exists, all from people in their communities. You can read more about how we roll over here.
To apply, send us a quick email to the professional-sounding jobs@brooklynbrainery.com letting us know why you're interested, why you'd be good at it, and attaching a copy of your resume. Hope you're as hyped as we are.
Update! We are totally overwhelmed (in a good way!) by all the responses. Either way, we'll try and get back to everyone eventually, but it might take us awhile!
