Two great Brooklyn organizations--the Greenpointers blog and Film Biz Recycling in Gowanus--are hosting auctions to benefit hurricane relief.

The Greenpointers auction is online, and you can purchase $10 tickets through Sunday to win all sorts of awesome prizes from local businesses (including a $50 gift certificate from us!). They've already raised an amazing $8,000 for New York Cares and the Greenpoint Soup Kitchen, but you can help them raise even more by buying a ticket.

If you like your auctions in real life, check out tonight's (Friday, November 9) Film Biz Recycling fundraiser at The Bell House. Film Biz is awesome all the time, but since the hurricane they've been working to donate all kinds of supplies to hard hit areas and letting displaced businesses work out of their warehouse.
