Taught by Jen Messier

Jen is the co-founder of the Brainery and lives in Kensington with her parnter and (too many) cats. She knows a little bit about a lot of things and can teach a lot of classes on the fly. Currently really into embroidery, cyanotypes, and paper marbling.

You can ask her anything at jen@brooklynbrainery.com.

This is an old class! Check out the current classes, or sign up for our mailing list to see if we'll offer this one again.

This class might be over, but get first dibs on new sessions and brand-new classes by signing up on our ultra-rad mailing list.

Come and join us for a relaxed session of making , we'll learn how to press flowers both quickly and slowly. After experimenting with a microwave press, we'll spend most of our time making a set of heavyweight cards (4+) that are perfect for gifting special occasions from my collection of pre-pressed flowers.

We'll also discuss various techniques for pressing your own flowers and experiment with a microwave press, though the focus of class will be on card making rather than pressing.
