Jess Schreibstein
Jess Schreibstein learned to knit from her great grandmother over 15 years ago and hasn't stopped her exploration of textiles since. She has studied batik, embroidery, and spinning; completed a weaving and natural dye residency in Oaxaca, Mexico last spring; been featured on the popular knitting blog Fringe Association; started up the knitting club at NPR; and is a contributor to the inaugural issue of Knit Wit Magazine. She also started the DC Food Swap, a community event for home cooks to barter for food they made or grew themselves. You can find her on her food blog, Witchin' in the Kitchen, and on Instagram at @thekitchenwitch.
