No matter how you slice it, Thanksgiving will be different this year. Perhaps your gathering will be considerably smaller than usual, you’re not traveling, or you will be cooking the whole meal for the first time ever all by yourself. Whatever the concern, we’ve got you covered. Chef Laura at Teaching Table is here to talk turkey and sides [ALL THE SIDES] and pie pie pie.
But more importantly, we will discuss how to downsize the spread. We will tackle your Thanksgiving questions like, which variety of apples is best for apple pie? Should I even roast a turkey? How do I make the fluffiest mashed potatoes? Will cocktails keep us warm outdoors? Can you pass the cranberry sauce via zoom? And of course, what to do with all those leftovers? And if you just need a support group for reinforcing that staying home and not visiting your loved ones is the best way to say I am thankful for you, well then we have you covered for that too.
There are no materials, ingredients or prep required. This is a turkey talk support group!
This class is FREE. Please consider a donation to City Harvest to help feed New Yorkers who are hungry — link will also pop up when you submit your form.
