Diana Kuan is a food writer and photographer based in Brooklyn. She is the author of Red Hot Kitchen, on cooking with Asian hot sauces, and The Chinese Takeout Cookbook, on Chinese food and culture in America. Her work has also appeared in Food & Wine, Time Out New York, and The Boston Globe, among other publications. In addition to writing and photography, Diana has taught cooking classes for the past 10 years in both Beijing and New York. Her favorite foods are dumplings, ramen, and tacos, usually with hot sauce on the side.

This is a virtual class that will meet via Zoom. Please download the desktop/mobile app ahead of time at Zoom.us and meeting link will be sent the morning of class.

Learn how to cook simple, delicious Asian-style noodles in this new online class!

We'll whip up 3 noodle dishes using easy techniques and minimal ingredients to create complex flavors.

You'll learn:

  • Broth basics for noodle soups
  • How to use fresh noodles, dried noodles, and even Italian pasta in your noodle soups and stir-fries
  • The fundamentals of mixing sauces
  • How to keep your noodles from sticking to the pan

And much more!

We'll send out a list of recommended ingredients before the class for anyone who'd like to follow along, but the emphasis is on making noodle soups and stir-fries using ingredients you already have on hand.
