Still lifes may seem boring, but they allow you as the artist to control everything about the scene - lighting, composition, subject matter and more. This makes for a customizable painting experience that allows you to focus on whatever skills you'd like to grow, such as creating depth, choosing realism or abstraction, color studies, glazing and anythine else you can imagine. They're the perfect choice for painters who want to up their skills with interesting yet controlled subjects and to move beyond painting single objects.

This class is for those with at least a little watercolor experience. We won't talk about materials or basic techniques but rather work to create a finished still life (or nearly finished) during class. All materials provided, but feel free to bring your own.
