Do you stockpile enough canned beans for a nuclear winter? Are you looking for more creative uses for rice, quinoa or another grain you can’t pronounce? Are you eager to use up leftover herbs or forgotten spices on your rack?
Our Pantry Clean Out classes inspire you to clean out your pantry and then teach you what to do with its contents. As a bonus, this class includes a fridge dive for herbs, veggie scraps and condiments.
Chef Laura will guide you through some recipe templates that utilize the specific ingredients YOU have RIGHT NOW. You’ll make a hearty flavorful veggie burger and a fresh herbaceous sauce to serve it with. You will learn how to properly cook grains for patties, the best veggies to include and how to get them to bind beautifully and cook up with a golden crunch. More importantly, you’ll walk away with countless options for the remaining grains, beans, legumes, condiments and spices still have crowding your kitchen cupboards.
Special equipment: a blender or food processor might be helpful for this class.
