When I reminisce about summers in New England, I see large stock pots overflowing with Maine lobsters and sweet corn. I can feel the watermelon juice dripping down my arms to my elbows while mesmerized by the chilly Atlantic waves beating on the shore. I'm tired from hours spent gathering wild blueberries from the brush and tending my Papa's garden.

Summer in New England sparked my appreciation for local seasonal cuisine. In this class, you will recreate those summer favorites that are quintessentially New England. You'll learn how to properly cook and shell a lobster among other culinary techniques. We'll make it all from scratch.

Our Menu:

  • Buttery Lobster Rolls or Light Lemony Lobster Salad

  • Corn Chowdah (with or without Lobstah or bacon)

  • Boston Baked Beans (with or without pork)

  • Blueberry Frappe

  • Perfect Pairings: Cape Cod Chips and Sam Adams Summer Ale

This is a VIRTUAL LIVE COOKING CLASS. Recording is made available immediately after class.

A list of ingredients and materials will be provided at least two weeks prior to class. A blender and Instapot or pressure cooker are recommended for this class. However the recipes can be made without these tools.
