In this virtual hands-on class, you'll blend the condiments stuck in the fridge with the produce you overbought from the farmers' market to create innovative, low-cost marinades that help you cook more while reducing food waste.
From sweet and sour fruity blends to savory herb-infused mixes, you'll discover versatile marinades that will take your summer grilling to the next level. Understand the role various ingredients play in the work of a marinade mixture.
You'll learn how to balance flavor, make substitutions, and adjust your marinade on the fly. We will also discuss marinating basics, like how long to marinate each protein and what foods should and shouldn't be marinated.
Set yourself up for countless meals for the week and beyond in just one hour!
Menu:
- Sweet and Sour Sticky Glaze (for wings, thighs, shrimp, or cauliflower)
- Yogurt, Sumac, and Spice Marinade (for chicken or lamb kebabs or zucchini and summer squash)
- Fresh Herb Marinade (for steak tips, chicken thighs, or portobello mushrooms)
- Chili Ginger Marinade (for chicken, fish, flank steak, or eggplant)

This is a virtual, hands-on class with some preparation required.
Your teacher will provide a detailed list of ingredients, materials, and prep instructions one week before the class.
