Grab your friends and join us for a Cinco de Mayo cocktail party. We'll mix up delicious drinks to sip and enjoy some tasty queso and guacamole to dip. While we're having fun, you will learn how to create a divine mole sauce, perfect for a variety of Mexican dishes. You’ll also learn about our local Northeast springtime substitutions and tips for the best Margaritas.

Mole is a traditional Mexican sauce made from rehydrated fruit, chili peppers, spices, nuts, seeds, and CHOCOLATE. Contrary to popular belief, a flavorful mole sauce doesn't have to simmer for hours or days. In just 90 minutes (mostly hands-off), you'll master the art of making a rich Oaxacan-style sauce. Use it right away for a sumptuous Chicken or Mushroom Mole, or freeze it for future use, like a hearty Pumpkin Mole Bisque in October. (Teaching Table’s recipes provided.)

Our menu includes:

  • Classic or Pineapple Mezcal Margaritas with Spiced Rims

  • Queso Adobo

  • Guacamole

  • Mole Sauce

This menu can be 100% vegetarian and gluten-free. Additional modifications and substitutions are available.

This is a VIRTUAL LIVE COOKING CLASS. The recording will be made available within 12 hours of the class ending.

Some prep is required. A spice grinder or mortar and pestle and a blender are highly recommended for this class. You will receive a list of ingredients, materials, and prep instructions at least 1 week before class. You will also receive all of the recipes for using your homemade mole sauce.
