There is an animal welfare crisis in NYC! The city's open-intake shelter, ACC, for the first time crossed more than 1000 animals in their care and had to close intake. Small rescues and independent rescuers are completely overwhelmed, and as folks face more and more difficult financial situations, there is no end in sight.
We'll be hosting a small, drop-in gathering on Friday evening if you'd like to learn more about this crisis and what you can do to help.
Swing by Friday from 4:30-6:30 to meet some adorable kittens and cats and take home your future foster or forever cat. We'll have some wine, talk about ways we can help animals right here in NYC and pet some sweet little babies.
Ways to help:
- If you're interested in adopting, please fill out our adoption app at catrepublic.com/adopting.
- To foster (we are desperate!), fill out our app at catrepublic.com/fostering.
- We always need donations of cash for vet bills, and supplies for our current roster of cats.
