Your next holiday gathering needs a hummus board. What’s a hummus board? It’s a beautiful spread of finger foods, starting with a base of ethereally creamy, yet zingy hummus and loaded up with compiementary flavors, textures and colors, like crunchy spiced chickpeas and olive oil roasted garlic. You and your guests will dig into the spread with freshly baked pita bread, crudité like rainbow carrots and radishes cut just so. You’ll also sip easy to mix Cranberry Bucks to honor the occasion.

This class is for you if…

  • You’re looking for a plant-based yet photo-worthy alternative to butter boards and charcuterie

  • You want an excuse to gather, nibble and sip with friends and loved ones

  • Your goal is to make your own hummus from scratch so that you finally stop buying the inferior stuff in plastic tubs

  • You don’t know what chickpeas are capable of but are dying to find out

  • You will take your hummus making knowledge and apply it to countless varieties of spreads with legumes, vegetables and seasonings after this class

In this class, you will make:

  • Olive Oil Roasted Garlic

  • Crunchy Smokey Spiced Chickpeas

  • Lemony Hummus

  • Whole Wheat Pita Pockets

  • Cranberry Buck (non-alcoholic version available too)

This menu is 100% plant-based. You can omit or substitute the pita to make it gluten free.

This is a virtual hands-on class. There is some prep required for this class. If you want to bake pita along with the chef, you need to prepare your dough in advance. You’ll receive a detailed ingredients, materials and prep list at least 1 week before class. No special tools or equipment required but we recommend a stand mixer for the pita and a food processor for the hummus.

Recordings are made available after class.
