This class might be over, but get first dibs on new sessions and brand-new classes by signing up on our ultra-rad mailing list.

In this one session class, Steven Fontas and Kristin Reimer of Photomuse (www.photomuse.com) will present the fundamentals of photographic portraiture. You'll learn the basics of making a good portrait.

Camera experience is a plus, and you'll need to bring your own camera and have basic knowledge of its use and functions.

We'll cover the various techniques used to create what is known as an environmental portrait, and we'll learn how to use natural surroundings to better illuminate your subject’s personality, all to tell a story in just one frame.

During the class, we'll go outside to shoot some portraits, then come back to the space and do some group crits. Like all the rest, this class meets at the Brainery space, 515 Court Street, in Brooklyn.
