Did you go apple picking? Do you have apples piling up or starting to get mushy? So, let’s bake them. There’s nothing more American than Apple Pie, but it’s so expected. And you’ve been there and done that already with galettes. But, have you made your own version of Apple Turnovers? Or a French Chausson aux Pommes?

In this class, you will make puff pastry from scratch (but feel free to use store bought if you have it), and then roll it out and fill with your own homemade soft apple filling. Apple turnovers are a special treat that also work for weekday breakfast when you’re running out the door!

What you need:

  • apples, any variety

  • flour

  • unsalted butter

  • sugar, any type

  • cinnamon and spices

  • lemon, optional

  • salt
