If you've ever wanted to explore a more loose or abstract style of painting, join us in this Abstract Watercolors workshop! Great for both beginners and more experienced watercolor artists, this workshop allows the thinking mind to relax as we explore a more meditative and freeing approach to art-making. We will use wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques to create original paintings while focusing on composition, color choice, and balance.
Some highlights will include:
- Creating a cohesive color palette
- Exploring different types of mark making and painting styles
- Creating a balanced composition with geometric and organic forms
- Adding some mixed media such as pen, colored pencils, markers, or other tools you already have around your house
This is a special sip and paint session - byob or we'll have some wine! All painting materials provided.
