Elizabeth Deull
Elizabeth is an artist and a NYS certified art educator with a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Masters in Studio Arts from NYU. Elizabeth has taught all ages including at Brooklyn Friends School teaching upper school art, as well as college students as an Adjunct Professor of painting at NYU. Elizabeth has also been the Assistant Director at two NYC galleries and has judged for the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.
As a teacher, Elizabeth has a passion for demystifying art-making processes and empowering students to partake in the joys of “making stuff”. As an artist, Elizabeth continues to be fascinated with the psychological power of the portrait. In the rest of her life, Elizabeth enjoys developing exhibitions with wild-eyed teenaged artists, doing yoga, talking about surfing and watching TV shows about kid and pet psychics.
