In this daylong weekend writing workshop, we'll look at the art of writing the personal essay. From the New York Times' Modern Love column, newspapers to magazines, the personal essay is one of the most popular ways to tell your stories and get published in the mainstream media.
This class will provide practical guidelines for your piece and exercises to help you arrive at the right idea, and you'll come away with a workable draft of your essay.
We'll take an hour break for lunch during the day; feel free to bring lunch from home or head out to explore the neighborhood!
