Taught by Lisa Nett

Lisa hails from the tree filled state of Wisconsin. She studied forestry at UW-Madison, and the art of firewood stacking on the family dairy farm. She rolls through the city streets on a trusty Schwinn while sneaking peeks at the passing trees. Check out Lisa's tree-focused Tumblr, The Tree Seen, or follow her on Twitter, @lisa_nett

This is an old class! Check out the current classes, or sign up for our mailing list to see if we'll offer this one again.

This class might be over, but get first dibs on new sessions and brand-new classes by signing up on our ultra-rad mailing list.

Get outside and learn to identify trees by the details: bark, buds, leaves and tree form. Class will start with an overview of identification terminology and practice outside in the field. Join us for a gambol around the Prospect Park and get to know some street trees!

Walks happen rain or shine and exact meeting locations will be emailed to you the day before the tour. You'll be outside for the entirety of the walk, so please be sure to dress for the weather. We'll meet on the Park Slope side of Prospect Park.
