This is an old class! Check out the current classes, or sign up for our mailing list to see if we'll offer this one again.

This class might be over, but get first dibs on new sessions and brand-new classes by signing up on our ultra-rad mailing list.

Print! Pattern! Texture! Let’s explore some of the million ways you can use them to create really cool, custom designs on paper and cloth. Over two sessions, we’ll cover a variety of techniques that will take your card crafting/art making/DIY decorating to a whole new level of awesome.

Learn how to make marbled paper, use wax and other resists to create batik effects, design your own stamps and stencils, and experiment with a bunch of other methods to build up great designs and textures. You’ll never look at shaving cream and nail polish the same way again.

You’ll take home a ton of frame-worthy experiments on paper, plus a hand-printed tote bag that shows off your new skills.

Fair warning: this class will be part artsy, part crafty, all messy. BYOApron!

This class, like all the rest, takes place at the Brainery space at the corner of W. 9th and Court in Carroll Gardens.
