Bill Shakespeare wasn't afraid to Go Big. He was a radical guy, who used the power of language to explore every aspect of the human experience. No fancy-pants poet, he was a man of the people - writing for paupers and princes alike.

When forced to read Bill's plays in high school English class, they can seem as dry as toast. But here's the thing - they weren't meant to be read, they were meant to be HEARD. When you pull those words off the page and start playing around with them, they come alive! Words become weapons, sounds can seduce, rhetoric dazzles and deceives.

This class is an opportunity to (re)discover the magic of Shakespeare's language and expand your own communication skills in the process. We'll be taking an active approach, not an academic one. Through group exercises, we'll breathe new life into these old words, exploring their relevance and resonance in the 21st century. No need to be familiar with any of Shakespeare's work, just bring an open mind and a willingness to play.
