Stephanie Genkin is an independent fee-only CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Certified Financial Therapist (CFT-I™), Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®), and Certified Life Coach. She completed advanced matrimonial mediation training and is currently focusing on the financial transition certification (CeFT®). Her career explaining complicated money issues began when she landed a gig at CNNfn and she's been hooked ever since. Stephanie earned a Certificate in Financial Planning from NYU and is an adjunct instructor at NYU's School of Professional Studies, Department of Finance & Law. She is a member of the Financial Therapy Association and the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and is frequently quoted in the media (Yahoo! Finance, USA Today, Forbes, New York Magazine, Glamour, MSN Money, AARP, and others) on personal finance issues.
