Seed Bead Jewelry: Earrings + Necklace Set
Taught by Sharon Zeisel
Sharon Zeisel has been teaching jewelry making in New York City for the past 15 years. With a degree in Art Education, she combines her love of teaching with her passion for beading, experiencing great joy in teaching others how to make their own jewelry. Using traditional beading methods to create on-trend designs, students will learn how to use a variety of jewelry making pliers and materials to make beautiful, wearable accessories as well as experience the mindful zen that comes naturally while beading. Sharon has taught for dozens of organizations such as Brooklyn Brainery, Brooklyn Public Library, Coursehorse, BUST Craftacular, and The United Federation of Teachers (UFT) turning absolute beginners into confident, capable, and enthusiastic Beaders. She resides in Brooklyn with her teenage daughters, and operates her local small business, Bead On Bond.
A little pop of color to adds a whole lot of style! Learn how to create a sweet, seed bead jewelry set using the essential crimping technique. We will learn how to string beautiful and bright "seed beads" onto soft beading wire, and with special jewelry pliers, we will affix the closure the professional way! Everyone will have the chance to create two custom designs - a necklace and a pair of earrings.
All beads and materials are included in the cost of the workshop, and each participant will be provided with a set of jewelry pliers to use during class.
