Taught by Private Picassos

Private Picassos provides custom art lessons and activities throughout the Tri-State area and at our Art Studio in Park Slope, Brooklyn.

We believe in the intrinsic power of the arts and strive to help build self confidence in our students. We emphasize art instruction grounded in the intuitive elements of the fine arts, not merely on arts and crafts and strive to provide our students with a better appreciation of the arts and their own thoughts and abilities.

Thursday, January 10, 6:30-8:30pm

Location: Park Slope Brainery (1110 8th Ave, Park Slope)

In this two-hour workshop, we'll explore printmaking techniques that can easily be done at home with little or no specialized materials.

We’ll use recycled cardboard to create traditional collagraph prints, as well as styrofoam sheets to replicate linoleum carving.  We’ll print with water-based printing ink and also permanent ink pads. Wine corks, bottle caps and bubble wrap will also be explored to showcase how household items can also be used to create gorgeous prints!
