This is an old class! Check out the current classes, or sign up for our mailing list to see if we'll offer this one again.

This class might be over, but get first dibs on new sessions and brand-new classes by signing up on our ultra-rad mailing list.

This pattern is designed to stay on babies' chunky little feet: check out that super cute ribbing around the sides, and the squishy garter stitch on the soles (as if they'll even be walking on them)! Jessica the Knitting Guru will guide you peacefully through the process, but you'll fare better if you know how to knit and purl already (rusty skills are fine, if you're feeling adventurous).

We'll be knitting flat and in the round on double pointed needles, and using sock yarn so that new parents can toss 'em in the washing machine with no hesitations (the booties, that is -- not the babies). This is a time tested pattern written by a very old knitter -- read all about it here

Materials needed:
A set of double pointed needles
size US 2 Fingering weight "sock" yarn (any colors), 50g ball

Skills we'll be using (and learning, if necessary):
Knitting flat
Knitting in the round
Purling
Yarn overs
Decreases
