Brooklyn Botanic Garden is an urban botanic garden that connects people to the world of plants, fostering delight and curiosity while inspiring an appreciation and sense of stewardship of the environment. Learn more about the century-old Garden at http://www.bbg.org.
This year marks the Centenary of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden's Japanese Hill and Pond Garden. In honor of this event, an unprecedented selection of Isamu Noguchi sculptures have been installed throughout the Garden.
We will view and photograph these very special sculptures - exploring the many ways to photograph art in a garden - while learning more about depth of field, shutter speeds, ISO selection and more.
Skill level: open to all enthusiasts. Some camera experience will be required if you want to learn more about working with aperture and shutter speeds. You're welcome to come and be creative with your phone as well, if that's your interest.
You are welcome to stay and further explore the Garden until 6pm after the workshop is over.
*This walk meets at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Exact meeting instructions will be sent a couple of days before the event. Admission to the Garden is included in the price of the workshop.*
