Taught by Brooklyn Historical Society

Brooklyn Historical Society connects the past to the present and makes the vibrant history of Brooklyn tangible, relevant, and meaningful for today's diverse communities, and for generations to come.

This is an old class! Check out the current classes, or sign up for our mailing list to see if we'll offer this one again.

Every mayor promises to rid New York City of its rats and every one of them has failed! Despite the nonstop extermination efforts, the city’s most notorious resident continues to thrive. Is there anything we can ultimately do? Hear from NYC’s “Rat Czar,” a historian of rats, and a biologist specializing in rat genetics.

Presented in partnership with the Brooklyn Historical Society.

This panel takes place at the Brooklyn Historical Society, and ticket sales take place through Eventbrite. No Brainery gift certificates can be used for this event.
