E.A. Burlingame is a medical anthropologist, artist and educator who has been teaching people of all ages for a decade.  Professor Burlingame's education philosophy is that learning is culture.  Her teaching practices are steeped in active learning and laughter.

While the American medical system collectively views and treats the body as if it is separate from culture, there are deep connections between the two that can affect health. In this class we will explore cultural and biological connections in human health through a medical anthropological and multi-cultural lens.

This class will include lecture, discussion and activities.
