Taught by Albert Chao

Albert Chao is a designer working at the intersection of technology, art and architecture. He completed a Dual Masters of Architecture and Fine Arts Degree from the University at Buffalo in 2011. His fascination with snow globes comes from his work with Border Town, a ten week studio in Toronto. His fascination with kitsch extends back forever.

This is an old class! Check out the current classes, or sign up for our mailing list to see if we'll offer this one again.

This class might be over, but get first dibs on new sessions and brand-new classes by signing up on our ultra-rad mailing list.

In this workshop, we'll create two snow globes each while exploring how these objects fit into the larger story of kitsch and parallel art practices

Bring a plethora of plastic figurines, miniature objects and random trinkets to encase in a snowy miniature wonderland! We'll provide the snow globe encasings, adhesives, and of course, the snow.

Together, we’ll build your ideas for winter paradises, fantastic other worlds or even recreations of everyday scenes.
