Lamington? Pavlova? Huh?
Taught by Fiona Simmons
Fiona Simmons works as an artist/bookshop clerk/terrible waitress in Melbourne Australia.
She has a Bachelor of Fine Art in Gold and Silversmithing from RMIT in Melbourne and teaches jewellery a little bit at Laneway Learning in Melbourne. Fiona is in America as part of a potentially round the world journey to relax, read some books and research alternative education.
She also likes coffee, cats and deserts.
Don't worry, she won't make you try Vegemite.
The 'lammy' and the 'pav' are common desserts in Australia, often found at the same kinds of events that one might 'put a shrimp on the barbie'.
In this class we will learn how to make both deserts, investigate how they came to be and explore how delicious they are!
These treats are easy to make and even easier to eat.
Everyone will go home with full bellies, recipes and maybe some Australian slang, just to make it feel authentic.
