Taught by Sharon Zeisel

Sharon Zeisel has been teaching jewelry making in New York City for the past 15 years. With a degree in Art Education, she combines her love of teaching with her passion for beading, experiencing great joy in teaching others how to make their own jewelry. Using traditional beading methods to create on-trend designs, students will learn how to use a variety of jewelry making pliers and materials to make beautiful, wearable accessories as well as experience the mindful zen that comes naturally while beading. Sharon has taught for dozens of organizations such as Brooklyn Brainery, Brooklyn Public Library, Coursehorse, BUST Craftacular, and The United Federation of Teachers (UFT) turning absolute beginners into confident, capable, and enthusiastic Beaders. She resides in Brooklyn with her teenage daughters, and operates her local small business, Bead On Bond.

This is an old class! Check out the current classes, or sign up for our mailing list to see if we'll offer this one again.

Let’s get knotted up in fun! A twist on the tradition of pearl knotting, we will be making a fresh
and modern design with natural wooden beads and colorful silk cord. Using an awl (a handheld
pin tool), we will create beautiful knots in-between each bead for an on-trend, yet timeless
design. You will leave class with a beautiful, custom necklace and carry a new skill away as well!
All of the beads and materials are included in the cost of class and a set of tools will be lent to
everyone.
