Need help fully utilizing the bounty of your CSA basket? Weeknight meals craving a culinary exclamation point?

Then delve into the sweet and spicy world of exotic chutneys, condiments hailing from the East and now exploding on contemporary restaurant menus around the world. We'll learn the history and origins of chutney and similar condiments (ketchup for example, first made in China from pickled fish!) and discuss their wide array of uses. We'll learn how to make at least two varieties from local, fresh fruits and vegetables.

The class will also include a primer in home canning so you can preserve your chutneys for use throughout the Fall and Winter. Each participant will leave with a jar of each.
