Alicia Goodwin is the designer behind the sculptural organic jewelry line Lingua Nigra. Although her line is a over a decade old, she has been in the jewelry industry since 2003. Working as both a product developer and also a graphic jewelry designer, Alicia has worked for many fashion houses, including C. Wonder, Tory Burch,Kate Spade and Juicy Couture.

With her own line she plays with texture and the complexity of random creation to bring spirit to each piece of jewelry.

A creator at heart she loves to share her knowledge of everything jewelry by teaching both hands on classes and also computer aided design throughout New York.

Location: Windsor Terrace Brainery (1233 Prospect Ave, Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn)

In this workshop, we'll learn how to make professional quality wire wrapped beads. 

Students will learn the basics of single coiled bead wrapping, which is a super effective way to create complex looking beads! You'll then create the beads of your choice and create your own finished, custom piece of jewelry (earrings, a bracelet, or a necklace) with the available findings to finish off your piece.
