Jessie Katz Greenberg is a crafter, educator, and content creator living in Washington Heights with her husband, 2 cats, and 2 hermit crabs. With a BFA in Visual Communication Design and Art History, Jessie spent 10+ years as a graphic designer before focusing on community management where she specializes in events and engaging with creatives. She is obsessed with crafting, which shines through her experience as Artist Community Manager at Spoonflower, co-hosting the Craft Hangout Podcast, directing craft, DIY, & home content at Jumprope (a video startup purchased by LinkedIn), and her breadth of workshops including embroidery, hand lettering, printmaking, glass etching, paper crafting, and more.

This beginner-friendly workshop will teach you everything you need to know to start cross stitching with confidence!
In class, you’ll learn how to set up your hoop, read a counted cross stitch pattern, and master three classic stitches. You’ll also get plenty of tips and tricks to make stitching fun and frustration-free.
We’ll start stitching a magical sun & moon design, created by your instructor, Jessie Katz Greenberg. While you might not finish stitching the design in class, you’ll leave with the skills (and supplies!) to complete your project at home.
No experience needed and all materials are provided; you can also take home your hoop and extra floss to finish your project. Just bring you curiosity and get ready to fall in love with counted cross stitch alongside the cross-stitch-obsessed Jessie!
