Taught by Rhiannon Platt

Rhiannon Platt is at least third generation fiber artist. Raised by seamstresses, crocheters, and fiber artists of all kinds, she picked up her first pair of needles over a decade ago. Since her first scarf, Rhiannon has gone on to fabricate for Lion Brand Yarn, Nathan Vincent, Olek, Jeila Gueramian, Londonkaye, and Levi’s. In between commissions, she finds time to write patterns and make endless sweaters.

In this class, you will learn the basic skills to make your own small tapestry style weaving, from start to finish on a simple homemade loom that you get to keep!

Beginners are welcome! You'll learn how to dress the loom, start the weaving, add a pattern or two, and tie it off. We'll make small tapestries that can be used as coasters or wall hangings, and you can keep your mini loom after class.

(Class size: 8. No need to bring any supplies - a homemade loom and yarn provided. You may not finish your weaving in class, but you can keep your loom to keep on working on your weaving.)
