This is an old class! Check out the current classes, or sign up for our mailing list to see if we'll offer this one again.

This class might be over, but get first dibs on new sessions and brand-new classes by signing up on our ultra-rad mailing list.

Investing in a DSLR or mirrorless camera is just the first step in making good photographs. Now that you have the equipment, get introduced to the basics of photography and how your DSLR or mirrorless camera works.

This course will cover exposure controls and capture modes, and their ramifications, and will provide a basis for taking better pictures. Students will observe with their own cameras how changing settings changes results.

You'll need to bring your own DSLR, mirrorless, or hybrid camera to class! Class size 8-10, lecture and experiments. We are still asking for proof of vaccination at this time.

Please note there is a half marathon in Brooklyn on MAY 21 that will result in some street closures south of Prospect Park.
