Whether its for prevention or relief, this class will give you the herbal tools you need to create remedies to have on hand. 

We will cover poison ivy prevention, sunburn and bug bite relief; herbs and foods to stay cool and hydrated and remedies for cutting down on inflammation and muscle aches as well as others.

If you'd like to participate in the practical portion of class, we'll be making a herbal bug spray, and an infused herbal oil that you will learn how to turn into a healing salve.

To participate in the practical for this class please get the following supplies:

Recipe 1:

  • 1 x 4oz mason jar.

  • 1 x 1 or 2 oz glass, (preferably) or plastic spray bottle,

  • 1/2 cup of dried yarrow leaves, 

  • 6oz of high proof vodka, or everclear.

  • Essential oil of catnip and lavender.

  • Non essential but if you also have essential oils of  Eucalyptus Citriodora, and geranium, we will used those too!

Recipe 2:

  • 8-10 oz olive oil
  • 1/2 cup of calendula flowers
  • and 1-2 oz of beeswax
  • 2-3 x 4 or 8 oz mason jars
  • plus access to a stove and a one quart pot with a lid
