Sophia Georgiou and her team created Morphi, a 3D design and printing app for iPads, coming soon for Mac, Android + Windows. www.morphiapp.com In Morphi, people of all ages and skill levels can design 3D objects from anywhere using touch, without wifi or a mouse. Morphi is also integrated with Adobe Creative Cloud so it can be used with Photoshop, Illustrator and other 3D modeling programs as well. The app has many uses (education, product design/prototyping, stop motion animation, basic character design, graphic design and more) and can be used with or without a 3D printer. At this fun intro session, we'll explore the universe of 3D printing, including learning about 3D printers, 3D modeling, materials, printing services, the maker movement and much more. We'll have our 3D printers humming away so you can see these amazing machines in action. We'll also demo Morphi (www.morphiapp.com), our 3D modeling app for iPads (coming soon for Android, Mac + Windows) and discuss some basic techniques for making printable 3D models. You're welcome to bring your iPads, iPadPros or iPad minis and we'll have a few for you to sample designing in 3D using Morphi.
