In two sessions, you'll learn basic hand sewing techniques through lots of hands on experience and practice. You'll be able to repair small tears, sew on buttons, repair fallen hems and the like -- get ready to never pay $5 to fix a button again.

The first class will focus on the stitches themselves and the techniques they require. You'll leave with a neat sampler of the stitches and techniques studied for future reference.

Then in the second class, you'll put your new skills to use by mending a piece of clothing from home -- we'll cover the whole process, from deciding what sort of stitch is best for the job to the actual sewing.
