Are you ready to make things move?
After Effects is an awesome piece of software used for professional animation, motion graphics, video production, and visual effects. But it doesn’t have to be scary! We’re going to go on a little speed dating tour of After Effects to give you some ideas on how to get started.
We’ll start super, super basic with an overview of how video works and we’ll poke around in After Effects to get comfortable with the interface. We’ll talk about how to use existing video footage from your camera or design files from Illustrator or Photoshop in your projects. From there, we’ll learn about keyframes and how to animate things like position, color, transparency, and rotation. We’ll get into more advanced techniques if time allows, but we’ll end with an intro to rendering and how to make your own video.
If you already know some Photoshop or Illustrator, you’ll be ahead of the game. But even if you don’t, you’ll be just fine in this intro level class.
You’ll need to bring your laptop with to you this class. If you don't have After Effects and Illustrator, we'll provide you links to 30-day free trials.
