Taught by Private Picassos

Private Picassos provides custom art lessons and activities throughout the Tri-State area and at our Art Studio in Park Slope, Brooklyn.

We believe in the intrinsic power of the arts and strive to help build self confidence in our students. We emphasize art instruction grounded in the intuitive elements of the fine arts, not merely on arts and crafts and strive to provide our students with a better appreciation of the arts and their own thoughts and abilities.

No class on April 9th!

Understanding how children learn through art--and how to encourage this learning--can be a daunting task for any parent. Private Picassos' Founder Valeen Bhat, BFA/MS will walk parents through hands-on process-oriented art projects they can do with their child.

We'll discuss language to use when your child is making art, our favorite art supplies and how to set up your art making space to allow your child as much creative freedom as possible.

While this workshop will cover all ages, extra focus will be placed on children age 1.5-6 years. This class will include a short interactive workshop component as well.
