Faux Aging Techniques for Artwork
Taught by Megan Watters
Megan Watters works as a scenic artist on window displays, theatrical sets, fashion shows and more. Her jobs vary from painting faux marble to creating seaweed and barnacles for a makeshift pirate ship to covering full sets in rust using various faux-finishing techniques.
Join Megan to learn aging techniques to enhance your own artwork! Some topics we will cover include creating a crackled paint finish on a budget, methods for creating rust, and general techniques for weathering your surface in a believable way.
Tools and paint will be provided, but please bring your own surfaces to age. Some great examples are scrap wood, picture frames, wine racks, and more. If you have your own chip brushes and artist brushes, bring those too!
