English Paper Piecing is a hand-sewing patchwork technique that is easy, but also obsessive and fiddly. It's a great way to use scraps to make pretty things! It's also a good sewing project for taking on car and train trips, working on in the park, or in the bar, or wherever!
Hexagon patchwork can be used to make full- or small-sized quilts, pillow covers or other items, as applique adornments, or patches for your clothes.
In this class we will cut out paper hexagons, baste them to fabric scraps, and join hexagons together. We'll also talk about using English paper piecing with other shapes! No experience required, but you'll have more fun if you're comfortable with a needle and thread. No need to bring anything, but you are welcome to bring cotton fabric pieces/scraps if you have any.
