English Paper Piecing is a very easy, simple way to create intricate-looking fabric creations.
Using die-cut hexagonal pieces of paper, scraps of fabric, and a needle & thread, we will whip-stitch away the time while our practice pieces grow. Have any fabrics at home you want to use? Mid-weight wovens work best. Feel free to bring them.
You'll come away from this class with all the skills needed to make a large-scale project (think quilt tops) or small (sew pieces onto clothing as patches, or onto paper for greeting cards, or Mod Podge them onto your car's dashboard... they're pretty versatile). Good eyesight or magnification recommended. Fabric scraps, sewing needles, thread, and paper pieces provided.
