Drawing with Ink - Windsor Terrace

Originally from New York, Garvey received her MFA from Concordia University Montreal, and BFA from Washington University in St Louis. Her works on paper and installations have been exhibited internationally, including solo exhibitions with Galerie Circulaire (Montreal), Sur La Montagne Galerie (Berlin) and Phra Nakorn Gallery (Bangkok). Since 2009, Garvey has been teaching drawing and print-based workshops internationally, working with institutions like Concordia University, Florence University of the Arts, Betahaus Berlin, Montreal Art Centre, and The NY Center for Book Arts. This fall she continues this work as a Fulbright Scholar at Museo di Storia Naturale dell'Università di Firenze, and Visiting Fellow at Florence University of the Arts. In this 3-hour workshop, students will learn techniques for how to draw using india ink. We will learn about brushes, appropriate papers, and how to set up and develop a drawing from observation using ink.
