Brooklyn Botanic Garden is an urban botanic garden that connects people to the world of plants, fostering delight and curiosity while inspiring an appreciation and sense of stewardship of the environment. Learn more about the century-old Garden at http://www.bbg.org.
Explore the beauty of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden's historic cherry blossoms before the crowds arrive. This special morning workshop provides you the unique opportunity to photograph the trees in bloom (hopefully full bloom) during the early morning hours. The focus of the class will be composition. There are many ways to visually interpret the cherry blossoms. We will investigate depth of field, shutter speed and more - all in the name of making great photographs.
Skill level: open to all enthusiasts. Some camera experience will be required if you want to learn more about working with aperture and shutter speeds. You're welcome to come and be creative with your phone as well, if that's your interest.
After the workshop, you'll be able to stay in the Garden as long as you'd like to enjoy the blossoms!
