So it's looking like our lease is up in September, but instead of griping and moaning and all of that fun, we've decided to make the Brainery ten times more awesome.
The biggest problem we hear from you all is that classes fill up too quickly - by the time you get our email, everything you're interested in is already taken.
We'd love to solve that problem for everyone, but we're going to need your help. Right now we're limited by our space, but a larger, more flexible home would allow us to offer a ton more classes! So let's get on that.
We've never priced classes higher than we'd like to pay for them, but that means we don't have a ton of extra money laying around to help us find a new home. Starting today, all of our classes are going to have a little "save the Brainery!" fee tacked on. It feels a little weird, but in the next few months it will help raise money to move into a bigger, more versatile space - that means more classes on more subjects, and way more accessibility!
Even if you can't snag a spot in one of our classes you can still support us by rocking a Brainery tote or one of our other bits of merch!
As you've probably noticed, we've grown a lot in the past year; we moved into our space last January, hired our first part-time employee about six months ago, and Jen even quit her real job to work on the Brainery full-time.
And all of that is completely and totally thanks to you guys. We started the Brainery as a tiny little side project so we could keep learning once we were done with school, and now our classes are entirely curated by your suggestions and ideas. We're ridiculosly thankful for your help in getting here and beyond.
