Tree Identification Walks
Taught by Lisa Nett
Lisa hails from the tree filled state of Wisconsin. She studied forestry at UW-Madison, and the art of firewood stacking on the family dairy farm. She rolls through the city streets on a trusty Schwinn while sneaking peeks at the passing trees. Check out Lisa's tree-focused Tumblr, The Tree Seen, or follow her on Twitter, @lisa_nett.
(Class is $13; on the next page, you'll also have the opportunity to add on a $3 donation to the Red Hook Initiative to assist in hurricane relief efforts.)
Celebrate Autumn with a crash course in tree identification!
Get outside and learn to identify trees by branching patterns, fruiting bodies, and more! Class will start with an overview of identification terminology and then move outside to practice in the field. Join us for a ramble around the neighborhood and get to know some trees before the leaves start to fall.
We've got lots of walks planned - pick yours from the list below and click the big blue sign up button to your uppper right to register.
Walks happen rain or shine!
