The Art of Suturing
Taught by Umut S
Umut is a practicing surgeon at NYU and teaches suturing to medical students. She lives in Brooklyn Heights with her husband.
This class meets at our Court Street location
Learning how to throw stitches is a rite of passage in medical school. If you've ever watched Grey's Anatomy and thought "I can do that," then this class is for you.
In this hands-on course, we'll cover the different types of suture material, how to handle a needle driver like a pro, and basics of knot-tying. In the second half, you'll practice your new craft using medical-grade materials on simulated skin (bananas!). Release your inner surgeon.
